The story jumps a few weeks and sometimes even months between chapters, the whole 'Jesse was married' worked out a bit too easy, if he was married for visa only and slept around anyway, why did he even mention it to Leigh? Izzy being pregnant is first a big deal, then when the baby comes we don't hear anything about it. I also don't like the stories about women that have or find the perfect boyfriend, then can't stand being around him. It's been done too often (Alexandra Potter is big into that, although I do like her books). How Adriana 'healed' Otis was described too much, especially the part about the $8,000 cage. We don't need to know exactly what material was used for every corner.
And at the end, when we all want to know (I guess) about who won the competition/bet, we don't read anything about it! It is barely mentioned, Adriana just says: "Oh, I forgot about it..." and their lives are basically the same as if there hadn't been any book.
Another Lauren Weisberger book that could have used a better editor. Good thing I left 'The Devil Wears Prada' last, it's supposed to be the only good one...
